Whether you have Paint Protection Film (PPF) or a Ceramic Coating, the goal is the same: chemical and physical protection. However, these surfaces behave differently than factory clear coats and require specialized care to maintain their hydrophobic properties.
Hydrophobic Rejuvenation: Ceramic coatings eventually become "clogged" with environmental minerals and road film. To restore the water-beading performance, use a dedicated ceramic "booster" spray every 3-4 months. This adds a sacrificial layer of silica (SiO2) that keeps the coating performing like new.
Self-Healing PPF Care: Our PPF has a "self-healing" top coat that reacts to heat. If you notice light swirl marks, pouring warm water (60°C) over the area or leaving the car in the sun will often trigger the film to reset its shape, eliminating the scratches. Avoid using abrasive waxes or polishes, as these can dull the film’s unique finish.
Conclusion: Protection isn't a "set it and forget it" solution. Proper chemical decontamination and periodic boosting will keep your vehicle’s finish in a permanent state of showroom perfection.
